Academy of Good Communication is a series of training for nonprofits and local groups of activists from all regions in Poland, during which they develop their digital and marketing skills.
Academy of Good Communication is created by Facebook and TechSoup Poland to support digital and marketing skills of activists. Free of charge workshops take place in all 16 Polish voivodships (regions) thanks to TechSoup Poland and its 15 local partner organizations.
The goal is to help at least 340 non-governmental organizations in Poland to build digital competences. Academy of Good Communication equips activists with skills related to brand building, creating digital content and communication in social media. This knowledge will allow organizations to more effectively conduct and promote their activities, raise funds and build relationships with their supporters.

“It is important for Facebook to bring the community closer together and bring people together at every level, both local and national. Facebook has a fairly long tradition of working with NGOs. We cooperate with, among others, the Red Cross, Unicef, and in Poland with Szlachetna Paczka. We have now been looking for a way to reach also smaller organizations, because we believe that the effective use of digital tools is important for the activities of non-governmental organizations in the 21st century” – says Jakub Turowski, Head of Public Policy for Poland & Baltics at Facebook.
Academy of Good Communication is a cycle consisting of three pieces of training on:
- Communication strategy
- Facebook Insights
- Tools to create interesting content
Workshops are led by employees from regional partner organizations who participate in the training of trainers before each subject round. After that, they transfer the knowledge to activists all over Poland.
