The most important civic tech event in the world

TechSoup Europe and the Code for All network are honoured to announce the first open doors Code for All Global Summit: The Heroes of Tech. The conference will take place between 8-12 October 2018, in Bucharest, Romania and will bring together all the great leaders in civic technology.

For five whole days, the entire world that puts technology to good use will meet in Romania to discuss the future of civic tech.

Civic technologists, non-profits, government officials, funders and businesses will be setting the grounds for the upcoming development of this field.

The conference will feature panels, talks, workshops and trainings, along with special side events in a very interactive format in order to maximise the knowledge transfer between the participating countries. The five days will be an unique learning experience for everyone involved as well as a major networking opportunity.

Code for All operates as a global community, leveraging each other’s knowledge and resources. This event will shed light on the ripple effect of civic technology in a variety of fields and how it’s used to improve our lives. All the Code for All members will be joining, turning this event into an exceptional moment in time when the audience can come in contact with the immense work done by civic tech organisations all over the world.

Global participation

We are looking towards a truly global event, with heroes from every corner of the world. Last, but not least, it is important to note that the work that has been done on a global level in civic tech is worth billions. Thousands and thousands of professionals in IT development, communication, design and project management have constantly invested their time and skills to bring the necessary change in their communities. We will be looking at how we can best make use of their time and skills by growing the impact of the products they build.
