The TechSoup office in Warsaw was established in 2009 as a Polish NGO, to manage technology capacity building programmes with a European focus and act as a Polish partner for the TechSoup Global Network as TechSoup Poland. The TechSoup office in Warsaw also provides operational support to the TechSoup Global Network technology donation program.
Outside of the donation programme, TechSoup in Warsaw focuses on:
- Tech Capacity Building for NGOs – Offering education resources and support and training for NGOs.
- Social Innovation and Community Building – Building online and in-person communities of NGOs, activists, and IT specialists in Europe, which provide opportunities to work together toward a more equitable world.
- Open Data and Technology for Transparency – Making local public data more accessible and engaging individuals to create social good technology tools that improve the lives of local communities. For example, Apps4Warsaw is a competition for the best city apps built upon publically available open city data to promote open data and engage people in creating civic technology tools for their city.
