TechSoup partners from Europe active in digital literacy education exchange good practices on developing and implementing training programs addressed to the NGO sector. Les Ateliers du Bocage, ILUNION Tecnología y Accesibilidad, Fundraising Verband Austria, Fondacija Mozaik/Masta, Socialtechno, TechSoup Polska and GURT are part of Digital Literacy Framework for the Social Sector.

Improvement of the digital literacy competencies of non-profits workers and volunteers is a crucial element of their capacity of strengthening the communities they serve and developing new social and economic opportunities for the whole civil society.

The second face-to-face meeting was hosted by ILUNION Tecnología y Accesibilidad in February 2019, in Madrid. The first one was held last October 2018 in Paris, where partners defined a roadmap to share their own training and education programs. During this second meeting held at the ILUNION Tower in Madrid, partners analysed the different training initiatives each of them is carrying out, and the possibilities of scaling them to other countries.

The special participants of the meeting were Daniel Ben Horin, founder of TechSoup and Bardhyl Jashari from Metamorphosis Foundation, TechSoup partner from North Macedonia.

Moreover, the group had a chance to meet Ivan Carmona and Ana Juviño from Fundación ONCE (Department of Training, Employment, Operations and Transformation), who have presented “Finanzas Inclusivas” (Inclusive Finances) – a free training resource available for any organization who works with people with intellectual disability and other learning difficulties, to teach them how to manage their own finances, the responsible use of the money and give them practical financial knowledge for the job market.

The next meeting is coming in June. Partners will meet in Warsaw and work on the development of the Training & Education Toolkit for TS Partners; development of TechSoup Training Package on Social Media Communication for NGOs and defining next steps of building TSE education strategy.

DLNGO is an Erasmus+ project, the European program in the fields of education, training, youth and sport for the period 2014-2020.

The Consortium is formed by the TechSoup network partners of Austria (Fundraising Verband Austria), Bosnia Herzegovina (Fondacija Mozaik/Masta), Spain (ILUNION Tecnología y Accesibilidad), Italy (Socialtechno), Poland (Fundacja Techsoup) and Ukraine (GURT), in addition to the French leader (Les Ateliers du Bocage).
