Meet and Code 2019 has come to an end with Virtual Awards Ceremony. Lots of inspiring projects and progressive ideas were brought to life within the Meet and Code project. Today we met the best ideas in four categories: Community, Diversity, Girls Do IT!, Code for Planet.

Scheduled to take place in Budapest during the month of March 2020, the annual Meet and Code Awards was hosted on May 12, as a virtual event. As the world braces global curfews and regional lockdowns, the organizing team and partners have prioritized health and safety first.

In 2019, thanks to SAP, Haus des Stiftens gGmbH and a network of partners in 25 countries we granted 1200 events. The best twelve ideas were selected as finalists.  All of them created award-worthy events, oriented on educating, developing and empowering a generation and also contributing to Sustainable Development Goals combining them with the idea of IT and Coding.

Today we are happy to announce the winners in four categories of Meet and Code 2019!

Girls do IT!

This award category aims to help close the gender gap in IT and Coding. For this category, we seek creative events that break down gender stereotypes and empower girls in coding.
